Dear Madam/Sir,
As you are aware 11" International Day of Yoga (IDY) is to be celebrated across the world on 21.06.2025 by people from all walks of life. This year under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the historic Yoga Sangam (mass yoga demonstration) will take place from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM across. multiple locations nationwide. The Common Yoga Protocol(CYP) of M/o AYUSH will be followed, which is available on IDY portal of M/o AYUSH in 22 Indian languages. The theme of IDY for this year is "Yoga for One Earth, One Health".
Further, additional information pertaining to the observation of IDY 2025 including the Branding Kit, essential collaterals related to IDY, comprehensive textual information pertaining to the 10 Signature Events of IDY etc., may be disseminated to all the schools under your purview. 3. In view of the above, I, shall be grateful if you instruct all schools and institutions under your purview to actively participate in this event, which aims to promote health, harmony, and mindfulness among citizens. The schools/Institutions may register as organizers on the official IDY portal: https://yoga.ayush.gov.in/yoga-sangam. Further, schools/institutions may be directed to remain open on 21st June 2025 for the special yoga session from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM, to ensure maximum participation in the Yoga Sangam.

In addition to above, for the purpose of better coordination; a nodal officer may be appointed from your State/UT/Organisation who will collect and collate the information from all schools/ districts of respective States/UTs/Organisations and will be responsible to fill in the google spread sheet. To collect nodal officer details and track participation, this Department has created a spreadsheet. States/UTs/ABs are requested to fill the organisation-wise information in the spreadsheet mentioned below

Sir/Madam,
I am to refer to the subject cited above and to inform you that as per the directions of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, New Delhi, the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 has to be observed on 21st June 2025 with the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health" across all NSS Units, Universities, Colleges, and Schools in a befitting manner. The Preferable time for Yoga demonstration between 6.30 to 8.30 a.m.
In this regard, you are requested to issue necessary instructions to all field units to create events on the My Bharat Portal. You are also encouraged to create awareness about IDY through social media platforms.
Kindly ensure that photos and reports of the Yoga Day activities to be are submitted to this office via email at nssrdchennai@gmail.com without fail.Additionally, institutions are requested to post photos/videos of the Yoga Day celebrations on their official Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube handles after the event.
