In the reference cited above, the Government of Tamil Nadu has allocated funds for the establishment of English Language labs in 6,029 Government High and Higher Secondary Schools with upgrading the facilities in the existing Hi-Tech Labs to improve the Speaking, Reading, Writing and Understanding skills in English Language for all the students.
The Mozhigal language lab portal was launched by the Hon'ble School Education Minister in March 2023. To ensure the statewide implementation of Mozhigal Initiative, all the existing 6029 Hi-Tech Labs are to be provided and equipped with headphones and splitters as per following allocation.
One computer will be provided with two headphones and one splitter cables. Each High School will be provided with 20 Headphones and 10 Splitter cables. Each Higher Secondary School will be provided with 40 Headphones and 20 Splitter cables.
Samagra Shiksha being the implementing agency has procured headphones and splitter cables, and the same will be distributed to all District Education Office (Secondary) concerned, from where the schools have to collect and install in the Hi-Tech Labs by following the instructions provided in the video link below.

The Headmasters after completing the installment of equipment should fill in the acknowledgement letter (format enclosed) and submit two signed copies of the letter to concerned District Education Office (Secondary).
All District Education Officers are hereby informed to collect all the acknowledgement letters from schools and send one copy of the letters to Samagra Shiksha and another copy of the letters to the Directorate of School Education at the earliest.
